### How Do I Cancel My Subscription?

You can cancel an online subscription at any time from your account. The subscription will end at the end of the current billing cycle. See the [Fulfillment Policy](/policies/policies/other-policies/fulfillment-policy.md) for the current policy.

### Do You Offer Refunds?

Payments are non-refundable except in cases of billing errors or erroneous charges. See the [Fulfillment Policy](/policies/policies/other-policies/fulfillment-policy.md).

### Do I Pay Monthly Or Annually?

Both are available through **Stripe** for online subscriptions, and you pick the period at checkout. Contract subscriptions can use a flexible billing period arranged with your **Nested Knowledge** contact.

### Can I Change How Many People Are On The Subscription?

Yes. Online subscribers adjust the number of seats at any time from the **Subscriptions** page. Changes are prorated because billing follows the users currently in the organization. Contract subscribers make changes through their **Nested Knowledge** contact.

### When Does My Subscription Start?

An online subscription takes effect as soon as your payment goes through.

### What Payment Methods Can I Use?

**Stripe** accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and UnionPay. **Nested Knowledge** stores no card details itself.

### Is My Payment Information Secure?

**Stripe** processes payments, and **Nested Knowledge** doesn't store your card details. The [Fulfillment Policy](/policies/policies/other-policies/fulfillment-policy.md) links to **Stripe**'s compliance details.

### I'm Outside The US—Can I Still Subscribe, And Will I Pay VAT?

International customers are welcome. You may need to provide a VAT ID or pay VAT where it applies. **Nested Knowledge** can sell to all countries except those under US sanctions or flagged as high-risk by **Stripe**.

### How Do I Qualify For The Academic Tier?

Academic subscriptions are reviewed before they're confirmed. See the [academic tier qualifications](/policies/policies/other-policies/academic-tier-qualification.md) for who's eligible.

### How Do I Get The Enterprise Tier?

### Can I Use A Promotion Code?

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nested-knowledge.com/account-management/subscriptions/billing-faqs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
