# Your Account

Manage your profile, email notifications, and account settings.

### Open Your Account Settings

To open account settings, select your name, then select **Account**. The **My Account** page opens.

The user menu also links to [Subscriptions](/account-management/subscriptions.md) and [Organization Management](/account-management/organization-management.md).

### Your Details

In the profile section, select **Change** to upload a new photo. Enter an optional prefix or suffix, then enter your first and last name. This name appears alongside your screening decisions, tags, and comments.

Your email address is the address associated with your account. This cannot be changed.

When you've made a change, select **Save** to keep it or **Cancel** to discard it.

### Notifications

The notification toggle controls whether you receive **Nested Knowledge** emails. Turn it on to receive them and off to stop them. This setting applies only to your account.

### Deleting Your Account

{% hint style="danger" %}
This can't be undone.

Before deleting your account, **transfer ownership** of every nest and organization you own. See [Roles](/collaborate/member-management/roles.md).
{% endhint %}

Select **Delete** to remove your account. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is removed.

### Subscriptions And Organizations

Two things you might expect to find on the account page are managed elsewhere, and the account menu links straight to them.

Your subscription—the plan attached to your account and its billing—lives under **Subscriptions**. See [Subscriptions](/account-management/subscriptions.md) for what each plan includes and how to change yours.

Your organizations—the teams you belong to and your role in each—live under **Organizations**. See [Organization Management](/account-management/organization-management.md) to manage members, roles, and settings.

Keeping these apart means each is documented once, in the place you actually act on it, rather than repeated here.

### Finding Your Invitations

Invitations don't appear on the account page. To accept or decline an organization or nest invitation, see [Accepting Invites](/account-management/accepting-invites.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nested-knowledge.com/account-management/your-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
