# Nested Knowledge Guides

Nested Knowledge Guides are designed to assist you in conducting your review within **Nested Knowledge.** Here we provide guidance by review type, what NK tools to use and links to full instructions in our Documentation. We also provide guidance on writing search queries within the databases offered in the NK automatic search function.

### Review Type Guides

Each review type carries different expectations for timeline, protocol, and reporting so it is important to start with the right guide. Each covers the NK tools used for each review type. Pair it with the matching [Best Practices](https://docs.nested-knowledge.com/best-practices/) page.

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><i class="fa-list-check">:list-check:</i><br><strong>Systematic Literature Review</strong></td><td>Set up and run a systematic literature review in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/systematic-literature-review.md">Systematic Literature Review</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-chart-line">:chart-line:</i><br><strong>Meta-analysis</strong></td><td>Set up and run a meta-analysis in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/meta-analysis.md">Meta-Analysis</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-bullseye-arrow">:bullseye-arrow:</i><br><strong>Targeted Literature Review</strong></td><td>Set up and run a targeted or rapid literature review in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/get-started/ai-documentation/conduct-a-rapid-review.md">Conduct A Rapid Review</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-scale-balanced">:scale-balanced:</i><br><strong>Evaluations for HTA submission</strong></td><td>Set up your nest to support an HTA submission.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/evaluations-for-hta-submission.md">Evaluations for HTA submission</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-magnifying-glass-chart">:magnifying-glass-chart:</i><br><strong>Gap Analysis</strong></td><td>Set up and run a gap analysis in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/gap-analysis.md">Gap Analysis</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-book-open">:book-open:</i><br><strong>Narrative Review</strong></td><td>Set up and run a narrative review in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/narrative-review.md">Narrative Review</a></td></tr><tr><td><i class="fa-map">:map:</i><br><strong>Scoping Review</strong></td><td>Set up and run a scoping review in Nested Knowledge.</td><td><a href="/guides/guidance-by-review-type/scoping-review.md">Scoping Review</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Write a Search Query

Well-structured search queries make your evidence search transparent and reproducible. Use the guide for your database to learn its supported fields, operators, and syntax.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nested-knowledge.com/guides/nested-knowledge-guides.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
